Brain Pop ESL
Brain Pop ESL is designed to teach ESL students English. This website has a wide variety of things to offer the students. It has videos, quizzes and activities for students to learn grammar. On Brain Pop there are also different levels so students will be able to start at their readiness level. They can also go on to the original Brain Pop or Brain Pop Jr. which has all different content areas. Students will be able to watch videos, take quizzes and complete activities at their own speed. Teachers do have to register for this site as well as pay for it.

This website offers useful links for ELL instruction, remediation and enhancement of some academic content. This website offers, Listen and Read-Along stories, in both fiction and non-fiction by a long list of acclaimed authors. Listen and Fill-in-the Blanks cloze activities, Listen and Answer Quizzes, ESL videos, Games and puzzles for Grammar, spelling, sentence structure, reading, idioms etc… This website is user friendly and offers a wide range activities for the ELL student.

TumbleBook Library
The TumbleBook website offers an online collection of picture books adding animation, sound, music, and narration. The library has a collection of existing picture books from many children’s book publishers. Tumblebooks provide enrichment to students who are already reading independently, and support to students who need skill building. Activities offered include an oral language learning section, puzzles and games that accompany each book and reinforce concepts, tumblequizzes to test for comprehension, and online book report forms.
The site is kid friendly, with bright colors and eye-popping animation. The online book library is extensive and each child should be able to find a title that interest them and motivates them to read. Selections are easy to find and download and students will have little problem understanding how to manipulate the controls.

National Association for Bilingual Education
NABE is an organization that supports bilingual education by: offering professional development, representing language minority rights, lobbying for adequate ELL funding in education, networking parents and communities, and by educating the public on the effectiveness of bilingual education.
There is a fee to join the organization and gain access to the unrestricted website.
The restricted website offers research articles, Internet resources, a current list of issues and press releases. You can register here for their national conference, or their student writing essay contest. This website would be useful for someone interested in being an active advocate for bilingual education and the issues that surround it. The website is easy to use but some links were unavailable.

Teachers of English Speakers of Other Languages
TESOL is a global association for English language teaching professionals. This web site offers educators publications, books and electronic resources on all things current and past dealing with the ELL students/teachings. They also conduct workshops and conventions for professional educators throughout the year. They believe highly in responsiveness, quality, collaboration, and integrity. Their mission statement is “To advance professional expertise in English language teaching and learning for speakers of other languages world wide”.
TESOL has a registration/membership process to become a member. They have memberships for all different levels as in: professional, lower income professional, global professional, new professional, retired professional and even a student membership. The membership fees range from thirty-three dollars to one-hundred sixty-two dollars.
